Cairngorm Soapbox Just Got Bigger!

We were totally taken aback last November when all 32 places for CSEx2011 were snapped up in under 48 hours. We know CSEx is special, but even so it was nice and just very slightly frightening to find that after just two years we have built a race that attracts competitors from the other side of the Atlantic!

SCA Champs to Climax at CSEx2011

As if the prospect of being crowned King of the Mountain at CSEx2011 is not enough, teams will also be competing for glory in the SCA Championship. This is a multi-event competition held over the four main cartie races in Scotland, with CSEx forming the final round.

CSEx2011 Sells Out in 48 Hours

Cairngorm Soapbox Extreme's status as the "must do" event in UK gravity racing was confirmed earlier this evening when the last of the 32 places for CSEx2011 was snapped up less than 48 hours after they went online.

Anyone who missed out can still register on the reserve list, and will be offered a place if any of the current teams drop out.

The full list of competitors and the reserve list can be seen here.

C12 Lead the Pack

C12 put on an impressive show to qualify in first place, with Bush Racing in second place after the first day's competition in Cairngorm Soapbox Extreme 2010. 28 teams lined up after safety inspection yesterday evening and took part in a series of practice and qualifying runs in preparation for the main racing later today. The new course proved challenging and there were some spills as "The Switch" claimed its first victims. There were a few scrapes and bumps but no serious injuries to competitors. Unfortunately the same can't be said of the carties.
