Venue Cairngorm Ski Road, near Aviemore.  Parking by the lower snow gates. No unauthorised vehicular access to the course after 18.00 on both days.

Friday 23rd July - Practice only 18.00 - 19.00: Short course practice runs. Top half of course only 19.00 - 21.30: Full course practice and qualifying

Saturday 24th July - Heats and Finals 18.00 - 21.30: Head to head racing!

Gravity racing is an exciting an entertaining sport with all of the thrills of its engine powered cousins, but none of the noise or pollution.

Please do come along and watch - there is no charge for spectators - but please follow the instructions of the volunteer marshalls and keep clear well clear of the course while racing is in progress. Stand behind the safety barriers and please do not sit on the bales.

The event runs from 6.00pm until 9.30pm on Friday 23rd and Saturday 24th July 2010, but Friday evening is for individual practice runs and timed qualifying only.The first hour on Friday will be spent on "short course" practice runs using the top half of the hill only, followed by full course runs from about 7pm onwards.

The best time to come along and watch is during the heats and finals on Saturday evening, when up to four carties at a time will be racing head to head.

While every effort is made to make Cairngorm Soapbox Extreme as safe and enjoyable as possible, you should bear in mind that Gravity Racing is potentially dangerous and that you are present in the vicinity of the course entirely at your own risk.
