Gravity racing is an exciting an entertaining sport with all of the thrills of its engine powered cousins, but none of the noise or pollution.

Venue Cairngorm Ski Road, near Aviemore. Parking by the lower snow gates. No unauthorised vehicular access to the course after 18.00 on both days.

Outline Timetable

Friday 13th July - Practice only 18.00 - 22.00: Full course practice and qualifying

Saturday 14th July - Heats and Finals 18.00 - 22.00: Head to head racing!

Please do come along and watch - there is no charge for spectators - but please follow these simple instructions for your safety;

• Follow the directions of the volunteer marshalls
• Keep well clear of the track and the carties
• Stand on the inside of corners, behind something solid
  
• Do not sit on the bales and safety barriers
• Keep out of the marked areas
  

The event runs from 6.00pm until approximately 10.30pm on Friday 13th and Saturday 14th July 2012, but Friday evening is for individual practice runs and timed qualifying only.

The best time to come along and watch is during the heats and finals on Saturday evening, when up to four carties at a time will be racing head to head.

While every effort is made to make Cairngorm Soapbox Extreme as safe and enjoyable as possible, you should bear in mind that Gravity Racing is potentially dangerous and that you are present in the vicinity of the course entirely at your own risk.
