Event Timetable (Provisional) Friday 23rd July
Saturday 24th July
|
The exact structure of the event is dependent on the number of teams taking part, but the objective will be to maximize the number of runs for every cart.
A rough outline for the competition is;
Friday: 3 individual untimed practice runs each, followed by 2 individual timed qualifying runs. Best time from qualifying runs used for group seeding.
Saturday: Teams split into groups of up to 4 carts, using the previous day's qualifying times for seeding. Each group races together several times with points being awarded for finishing position in each group. The winning 2 carts in each group will go through to mass start semi finals and finals (4 carts per heat. First two go through and last two are eliminated). Consolation heats will be run for eliminated teams so every team will have the same number of runs and will get an overall placing.
The complete rule set for the competition can be found on the download page.
Notwithstanding any unforseen problems, every team should get 10 runs in total (5 on Friday and 5 on Saturday).
